“I heard it on the radio half an hour ago.”

“And you didn’t call me?!”

“Calm down, Sandy. We don’t know if this will impact us yet.”

“Of course it will! There are already talks about taxing the suburbs of SimCity, too! … Andrea, you’re smart. Tell me, what do you think I should do?”

Andrea sighed. “Wait. Wait until they announce more, and if they decide to impose it on the suburbs, too, sell. And look for a job. Any type of job. You’re gonna need it.”

The other end of the line went quiet for a moment and Andrea thought that Sandy had lost the connection when she heard a faint sob. 

“Good night, Sandy. Try to get some sleep. I’ll drop by tomorrow, okay?”

“Okay. Good night, hun.”

“Okay, guys! It’s closing time! Buzz off! I’m going home and I’ll lock you in if you don’t leave right now!”

…

“Oh for plumbbob’s sake! You’ve got to be kidding me!”

“Andrea?! Have you watched the news? They have to be joking, right?!”

Stuff that happened while I was playtesting (testing if the normal community lots were fine):

Christy Stratton and Joe Carr get along so great that she rejects her previous flirt, Remington Harris.

Joe Carr thinks flirting with other sims is fine. As long as it’s him and not his now ex-lover.

Brandon Lillard seems to have gotten over his newspaper-stealing, trash can-kicking fit of anger over Sandy being late on their date (this is a completely new neighbourhood, so in theory, this never happened).

Sandy should probably just run from all this weirdness. Seriously, those two guys have no concept of a normal love life.

Stuff tumblr deems NSFW worthy:

-Sims in a park

-Sims on a swing

-Sims talking over the phone

-Sims working in their businesses

Stuff tumblr doesn’t deem NSFW worthy:

-the million porn blogs that spam follow me whenever I say “NSFW”

Thank you for your reply! I checked the VC but nothing came up. It’s still a mystery to me.

Brandon’s an a**. But on the other hand, who in their right mind decides that the 15-second time frame before the taxi arrives is the right moment to make your bed?

Thank you! I might try that if I cannot solve it myself. The people over at leefish seem to be very competent in that regard.

taylors-simblr said: On default owned business lots will only allow 3 sims at rank 1 as you gain ranks you’ll get more sims. There’s a mod at sim wardrobe that lets you choose to have more sims. It is really weird that you’re just getting the same sims every time though :/

Oh yeah, I’m aware of that. It’s just so weird that the game is hellbent on giving me the same three sims every time, though (well, at least I get three customers now. on the old save, I would only get Joe and Brandon- and if I played their businesses, I would only get the other one. That was really weird.)

Sandy heads over to the shop, opens it, I realise that still only Joe and Brandon show up, Sandy closes it and heads home. I’ll put all the stores into quarantine until I figure out what’s wrong… which makes a hood relying on Sims owning businesses rather unusable. 

EDIT 28/07/17: As you might notice, the posts up until now (well, at least the ones appearing around this time of the day) were put in the queue a few days ago. I still haven’t found a solution but I believe that I figured out another interesting way to play this neighbourhood, so stay tuned.
