I’m an idiot (sandwich)

Thank you @lauratje86 and @taylors-simblr for your awesome suggestions regarding my college ‘problem’. Turns out, I may have delivered the solution to my problem myself.

Turns out, Sim State University is actually part of “my canon” (as Jan claims SSU belongs to the Middleground District here) so… yeah. I’ll probably plop Kattaty’s empty SSU into my game.

Although I may build an in-hood college once Jan turned Middleground into a bustling metropolis (thanks for the suggestion, @taylors-simblr . We don’t really have campus unis here in Germany, too. I’m actually studying at one of the very few we have). It’s just too tempting.

Me last term: *discovers that one of the courses I took during a field trip for bachelor’s degree students only is somehow marked as master’s degree only online, gets registrar’s confirmation that it was in fact a bachelor’s course, hands confirmation over to the students office who promise to change it

Me this term: * “creates” the last module which this course is part of, discovers that the course is still marked as master’s degree only, decides whatever and hands in the module for confirmation*

Students office: we’re sorry, but it looks like one of your courses is master’s degree only. We’re sorry, but we can’t confirm this. Please talk to the registrar.

Me: *headdesk*

About Joe and Komei

moocha-muses said: Komei, there’s *got* to be other cute guys in this town.

There aren’t. There are 12 adult Sims in this neighbourhood and he’s the only gay male. Joe’s the only bisexual male. Half of the females are bi, somehow.

eulaliasims said: Watching sims make bad life choices is one of the most entertaining parts of the game, tbh.

It is. I’m kinda excited about what will happen, but if Joe fucks up once more, I might throw him into the ocean…

Kinda same, tbh. On the other hand, very excited for drama.

Bitville replies

mooseabides said: Haha! The Bitville architecture is… interesting, but I’ve become fond of the style 🙂

It’s not… bad, it’s just very repetitive and base-gamey. Just think of what they could have done with all expansion packs!

didilysims said: It’s so modern! So hip! Look at all the cool things you can do with roofs, Sims fans!!!

THE ROOFS!!! (I actually kept most of them, just made them a little less…steep.)

(I’m not sure whether I’ll actually play the neighbourhood- and if, whether I’ll post about it- but remodelling it has been really nice while I was busy.)

Last line meme

I got tagged by @grimbunnies

“In the long run, Labour managed to establish a ‘consensus politic’ which managed to persist until Margaret Thatcher’s reign and brought the country a long phase of prosperity until the economic crisis in the 1970′s.”

A very rough translation of one of my history term papers (figured it might be better to translate it since our teachers tend to google certain phrases to look for plagiarism and I really don’t feel like explaining why my conclusion shows up on a Sims Tumblr). As always, not going to tag anyone (I would have to tag 35 people and that’s just excessive!), but consider yourself tagged if you want to.

Ah, yeah, I guess that’s it. Although I could have sworn that I had empty dorm rooms before…

annegirl13 said: I have a student who informed me the other day that he was a bird. He proceeded to chirp and squawk at me for about 10 minutes. It was cute. 🙂

How cute! That girl also informed me that I was her mom now. Even have a little goodbye letter signed with “Best of luck to you, Mom Miss S.” Kind of cute, kind of concerning. I loved it there.

Dormies

meetmetotheriver said: Do you have the nosecretsociety whatever mod too?

I don’t think so. Regardless, even without it, dormies have never spawned in my neighbourhoods (but I’ll try it, maybe the no dormies whatsoever was actually a bug XD).

katatty-main said: are they sprawning to fill empty dorms or spawning randomly?

Empty dorms (your Casteroff dormitory, actually). Moved four students in, four were randomly generated.

Belladonna

didilysims said: The nice thing is that with the different districts it’s easy to pick a theme (colours & styles, etc.) for each area. Once you’ve figured that out, it’s just a matter of copy, paste, and reworking to make it fit the particular lot! Although sometimes the weird floor plans can be a challenge…

Yeah, but the apartment lots are just sooo much work (I do, however, really love the industrial area- so nice!).

Family stuff

hunnybunnysims said: I feel this. My father sustained a disabling injury so I’m his primary carer. It’s hard when it’s a parent who suddenly becomes a dependent. Best wishes and hugs!

Family caretakers unite! No, but seriously, I feel so bad for feeling mad/sad/annoyed at times, but then again, it IS a pretty big deal (and was a huge life change) and my feelings are valid, too, I guess. I just hope she’ll be able to walk again (looking good so far- but baby steps. Literally.). For her own sanity. Being trapped in a house all day must be maddening. Thanks for the hugs and good luck to you and your father.
