Jewellery

drewinthesky said: Nevermind, I just found out there’s no jewerly bin in bodyshop 😦

Yeah, that would’ve been my next question, if someone ever enabled it for bodyshop and the mirror in-game. Thanks for trying to look into it!

I figured that the jewellery feature was a bit… complicated (broken?).

primaverasims said: I think you can enable them for teens through simPE by changing the age string. It’s really stupid that EA did this :/

Hm, I’ll have to look into it. I can’t actually do much in SimPE, but this I might be able to do.

DON!

This wedding was such a trainwreck… We’ll see whether I’ll share it on this Tumblr (I played it on my bf’s PC since my own PC is still acting up and I don’t have a lot of time to prepare posts when I’m at his place).

Ra-Ra-Rasputin

didilysims said: This is the cartoon movie? He was a fairly standard over-the-top cartoon villain, so not really, but kind of? Depressed and violent I think match the English version. Not sure about the hippie…but it’s been many years since I’ve seen it. 😛

Yeah, he (and his animator’s- holy plumbbob, the dude has two spines!) has some issues. They did a weird thing with the synchronisation where they have him talk with weird voice cracks which, coupled with the over the topness of the animation, makes him seem more than a little off (they also did a bunch of things with his villain song (as discussed in an earlier reply). He’s also voiced by the guy that voices Sebastian in the Little Mermaid, which doesn’t help his case (nothing against the voice actor, he’s great, but once I figured it out, I could not take the character seriously, especially since both characters sounded very similar when singing).

This is bound to end in a catastrophy.

historicalsimslife said: I always found him more gross than outright scary. The real Rasputin on the other hand was definitely frightening as well.

Yeah, he is definitely gross, but then again, he is a decaying corpse. I actually figured out what put me off the synchronisation: he is voiced by the guy who voices Sebastian the crab (?) in the German version of the Little Mermaid. Which makes “In the Dark of the Night” unintentionally funny (they also changed the background music, which by all means make it sound like a depressed hippie singing with beetles). I knew I knew the voice actor!

holleyberry said: Haha! I know the feeling Kaylynn.

I’m a pretty decent cook and even I burn pancakes. A lot.

High expectations for Pleasantview…

didilysims said: Yay Sophie!

Yep, she is now a fully playable character! Whoooo!

sunnyday-rae said: I LOVE belladonna cove!! Haven’t played much of strangetown but I should!

It looks promising. Unfortunately, my PC has been acting up (I’m pretty sure it’s the new graphics card) lately and does not mesh well with Belladonna (or Middleground for that matter. Strangetown works, weirdly enough).

didilysims said: Wow. It blows my mind that people can be so rude. Perfect response though. 😀

Eh, who does that sort of thing as some sort of power play has to deal with the consequences. Not even sorry.

katatty-main said: my favourite outcome is cassandra leaving HIM at the altar, but yeah, none of the optinos are fantastic

Oh yes! I remember meetme did this once and it was glorious. Hard to achieve in-game with the setup we got, unfortunately.

It’s just a very disappointing scenario that… kind of leads nowhere. Also, Cassandra really lacks wedding options (her age).

jaydesims said: Maybe pair Cassandra with Mary-Sue? 😛

Would be an idea, but for that, she would have to catch Daniel cheating first (and he’s been a doting husband in that save).

What’s that symbol on top of Alexander’s head? Marriage cancelled? LOL Don is the absolute worst

It’s a memory of his sister being left at the altar, I think.

It got so cold overnight that my PC made a lot of worrying noises this morning while trying to warm itself up. It’s only September, chill!

strangetomato said: She said it first, so I think she more than deserved it.

*shrugs* I just don’t care about people trying to talk me down to make themselves feel better (let’s be serious, that was 100% a power move) anymore. I think I stopped giving a fuck about what people I don’t care about think of me 10 years ago- which was good because I was known all over the place in high school.

holleyberry said: *sniff* It’s so sad the founders are all aging into elders 😦

God, yes. I tried to get them all to age up while in platinum so that they’ll be around for a long time, but still. Seeing them all grey and hunched over…

So there’s this girl. Self-proclaimed “honest person” (which she really just uses as an excuse to be rude) and very blunt about it. We were on a college field trip together and at first, I thought it may have been me. She always corrected me on stuff and I thought that maybe she was right and I was just a bit of a “know-it-all”. After a few days and conversations with my roommates, I noticed I wasn’t, that it was her who just couldn’t be wrong. She was also very passive-aggressively rude to me.

On the last day, while we were hanging out in a park somewhere, she turned to me and said, with a very smug smile on her face: “You know, please don’t take this to heart, but… I just can’t stand you. At all.”

I replied: “Yeah, I know. I can’t stand you either.”

The look on her face was priceless.

Germans. The only ones that would comment on a post regarding the potential abolishment of the clock changes regarding daylight-saving time with “Why is no one reporting that most of the interviewees want the daylight-saving time to become the new standard time? Do they want to go behind our backs and make “winter time” the new standard! Typical move from the European parliament!!!111!!!”

We really are a nation of complainers.

(Meanwhile, half of Saxony has to deal with an angry nazi mob and a surprising lot of people are like “Nah, they are not Nazis.” Yeah sure. Shouting “Adolf Hitler is our idol” and doing the Hitler salute- definitely not Nazis.)
