He stays for dinner and vents his anger about his ex-lover, Sandy.
Komei listens intently.
Joe drops by as promised.
…and then they played kicky bag for 3 hours straight.
“What are you doing?”
“Looking for a job. This whole tax panic is driving me nuts. I want to have a reliable income when this whole country goes mad.”
“And you think someone will actually hire you?”
“Why do I even put up with you?”
“Because deep down inside, you love me? And you can’t cook to save your life.”
They sure get a lot of usage out of that swing…
“… yeah, I guess. Hey, do you wanna come over for lunch? … oh, no, I see. Gonna make a fortune with your newsstand today, huh? Yeah, people tend to do that when they panic…”
“Komei’s got a cru-hush!”
“Oh shut up! No! Not you- I- just my annoying roommate… oh, tonight? Sure, that would be… nice, I guess…”
