K-Komei?

He’s okay. Slightly crisper than before, but okay.
There’s a lot of noise-making involved in a New Year’s Party.

It’s party time! Komei and Joe have invited half the town, except for Brittany’s boyfriend… overprotective dads? (Turns out, Joe doesn’t know Andrew. Wow.)

It’s time for Komei and Joe to grow up. :´(

OH. MY. GOD.
This is a disaster in the making.

Their breakfast is interrupted by someone knocking at their door. It’s a strange young woman they never met.

“Can I help you?”
“Sophie Miguel. I’m with the SBI and I need to ask you some questions about Ms Tellerman.”
“I’m no longer working for her. I’m a City Council member now. We sometimes carpool, but I don’t- sorry, I’m trailing off.”

“We know, but I still hoped that a bright mind like yours might be able to help us. While you worked for her, were you responsible for her mail?”
“Yes.”
“Ever noticed anything?”
“No?”

“Listen, this is no game. We have to know if you know something!”
“What is this even about?”

“Hey, Joe, is everything alright? Komei Tellerman.”
“Ah. Mr Tellerman, has Ms Tellerman ever talked to you about letters she had received?”
“No. What’s up with the letters?”

“We don’t know yet. Anyway, it was nice to meet you. I’ll be on my way. If you remember something, please call me.” *rattles down phone number*

“That was… weird.”
“Looks like you made a new friend.”
“Oh, shut up!”
“Yeah, the weather’s gonna stay pretty mild, so how about we invite some friends over for New Year’s Eve?”
Goofballs.
It was a rather uneventful day.
