Man, I imagine that that’s going to be one awkward dinner…

Loki comes home with a promotion to Scholar (so I guess he hadn’t had the day of after all? I took these pictures about two weeks ago) and a new friend. Or not. After arguing about politics, he decides to wish her goodbye.
Good morning!
With the money Crystal brought with her when she moved in, the friends were able to finally build a staircase leading up to the upper floor, which is where Crystal got a bed of her own. It’s still very barren but better than sharing a couch with the cats.
Crystal is fast asleep when Tara comes home from work. After she wakes up and Tara fed the cats, they spend the evening chatting.
After Tara head off to work early in the morning, she cleans the kitchen. She is very thankful that Tara lets her stay for free and doesn’t want to just lounge around while waiting for a job offer to pop up.
She also got a new hair-do.
“Hey, if you want to, you can crash on my couch for awhile until you find another job… If you really want to quit!”
Crystal moves in.
“…And, you know, I don’t really want to keep working at the lab with all that freaks around. But no way in hell can I afford it. Not with that landlord breathing down my neck…”
Tara invites Crystal inside and she pours her heart out over lunch.
