So yeah, project recreating Sunset Valley sims- 14/14 complete. Can you tell who’s who? (Seriously… I’m not sure I could identify even half!)

Sam Sekemoto, Yumi Sekemoto, Leighton Sekemoto

Zelda MaeQueenie Landgraab?, Geoffrey Landgraab, Malcolm Landgraab, Nancy Landgraab

Thornton Wolff, Morgana Wolff, Jamie Jolina

Jared Frio, Claire Ursine?, Connor Frio, Erin Kennedy?

12/14 correct! The blonde in the blue is actually Nancy and the other one is Agnes Crumplebottom. Wow, you’re good at spotting Sims!

Right?!

Also, can I just point out how fricking great it is that you made this look so historical? I don’t believe it gets any more realistic and “correct” than this.

Well, I suppose the only way would be if we’d take a look at the “actual” years in which the Sims games came out… The original TS1 game came out in 2000 (if I recall correctly); then TS2 came out and it was said in the game itself (so in the “story”) that the events took place 25 years after the events of the original game (so that would mean TS2 takes place in 2025).

Then in TS3, with Bella Bachelor and Mortimer Goth as children and the Crumplebottoms and whatnot, the game/storyline took place 25 years before the original game, which would mean Sunset Valley, in fact, took place in… 1975.

I don’t think 1975 was what you were aiming for with these pictures, but nevertheless, I still stand behind what I said earlier: it is absolutely great that you actually made these Sims look like they’re from a different time era than the Sims in 1, 2 and 4. It only makes sense that the Sims in “earlier” towns like Sunset Valley don’t look as modern as their descendants in TS1 and TS2 do, y’know?

Hmm, now I’m just thinking how wonderful it would be if someone were to make a futuristic Pleasantview/Strangetown/Veronaville and a 1975 Sunset Valley… I so want this now!

EDIT: Actually, now that I’m thinking about it, could a 2025 Pleasantview be like post-apocalyptic in any way? Just imagine how amazing that would be… I’m really no good at this though… :/

Woooow. You put a lot more thought into this than I did! To be honest I just thought it might be nice to put some Sims in Edwardian clothes (saw whattheskells awesome clothes) and it kind of made sense to me that it would be the Sims 3 sims (the timeline is sooo wonky so- why not- and I always wanted to make some Sims 3 sims myself. )I actually can’t quite put my finger on timing in the Sims series- are there such things as 50′s, 70′s etc or are there just ‘basic’ times like ‘medieval’ (Dragon Valley, Sims 3, sort of Veronaville, Sims 2), ‘old timey’ (the Sims 3 town with the rollercoaster?), ‘retro’ (I can’t help it but Strangetown really reminds me of a retro desert town, with the Smiths and all), ‘modern’ and ‘future’ (Into the future)? How do Sim epochs work? Especially with more modern electronics in the past than future (Sims 2/Sims 3).

But now that you say it… a dystopian sims neighborhood would be awesome! And your ideas on timing in the Sims franchise are really interesting to read!

“Lyra!” Lyra tried to ignore her sister. Since Andromeda found out that she was expecting, she was unbearable, always arguing with Lyra, always blaming her. When she didn’t stop calling her name, she turned around: “What do you want?”

“Listen, I know, I haven’t been fair to you lately, but please, hear me out: I’m sorry. Look, you’re a single mother and I know that it won’t be easy for you raising a child on your own. Percy and I have the capacities to help you.”

“Stop! What are you trying to tell me?”

“You’re too young to raise a child on your own. I just want to help you. We can raise it. You know I’m good with children. Hell, I would’ve been a birth queen, if…”

“Oh, shut up! I don’t need your help, and I’m not alone! Aldric and I can do this!”

“Oh, you can’t be serious! You and that Sim slug! Come one, you know that that won’t work out. Sims are evil, Lyra! You know that!”

“Aldric and his family are not evil, you squid! They are kind and they would never hurt us!”

Andromeda scoffed: “You are barely an adult! You don’t know the real world. You know what? Forget it. But don’t come back when you realise that they are mean spiteful beings! Juliet!”

Life at the Sims’ place is still quaint. Unfortunately, their supplies start to run low, so Alderic tries to establish a trade with the Aliens (who are low on stock themselves). Jasmin either doesn’t notice Zoe’s rather… intimate relationship with a certain alien or doesn’t care, and the parents-to-be are in their own world right now.

“Who’s a cute little Xammie?! You are!”

“I don’t think it can hear you yet. I didn’t knew you had a soft spot for kids!”

Stella looked up with a sheepish smile: “I don’t!”

“Sure.”

“Anyway… Percy sends me. He thinks I should chide you. He’s as mad as a blue slug.”

Lyra smiled: “I’m pretty sure that weren’t his exact words?”

“Let’s just say you should stay out of his face for a while.”

“What do you think? You’re the boss.”

“First of all, what were you thinking?! Hooking up with… Aldric- of all humans-… Second: It’s your life, you’re an adult and I’m not going to play your babysitter. Do whatever you want. Aldric’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but atleast he’s not a romance sim. Just don’t come anywhere near Percy. He’s really mad at you.”

“I know. Andromeda is mad too. She’s either ignoring me or scolding me. You know what: I’m soo sick of her ‘All Sims are evil and must be avoided at all cost.’”

“You made some bad experiences back in Veronaville. You were too young to remember that much, she does remember. It’s understandable that she mistrusts Sims.”

“Whatever. I just want her to shut up.”

Stella nodded hesistantly. She had read the file about the Luna family. As much as she disliked the slender redheaded diva, she could understand Andromeda’s hatred of all things simlish.
