THE SIMS 4 RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

While The Sims 4 can run on just about any computer according to the minimum system requirements The Sims FAQ has just been updated with the RECOMMENDED requirements today which are significantly higher.  You want your computer to meet or exceed the recommended system requirements for a good gaming experience. 

REQUIRED: Internet connection required for product activation.

OS: 64 Bit Windows 7, 8 or 8.1

PROCESSOR: Intel core i5 or faster
AMD Athlon X4

MEMORY: 4GB RAM

HARD DRIVE: At least 9 GB of free space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved games

DVD-ROM: DVD ROM drive required for installation only

VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GTX 650 or better

SOUND CARD: DirectX 9.0c Compatible

DIRECTX: DirectX 9.0c compatible

INPUT: Keyboard and Mouse

Honeywell’s Sims 4 News | System Requirements

Wow, that’s pretty heavy.. My, soon 1 year old, beast of a computer beats them but not by much. GTX650? That’s almost crazy.. 

This surprised me actually. I will admit the recs are a bit higher than I would have thought (because they said repeatedly really old computer could play it). I do thankfully have an i7 on both my laptop and desktop…though the video card is what would concern me most. Apparently the card they want you to run has about 1 gb of memory (unless I looked that up wrong). I am no tech expert, but I assume if you have 1 gb or more, you should be good to go!

Wow, that’s heavy. My brand-new computer doesn’t beat it by much…(my video card is actually a GTX650). That’s… interesting.
