A sports fan through and through, Joe has built a goal in the backyard in order to distract himself a bit. But still, he has to pay the bills somehow, and no one currently has a job for a run-of-the-mill business man.

His friend (and flirt) Christy drops by to cheer him up.

“Yeah, I think I’m going to sell, too.”

“Why? Your news paper stand is tiny!”

“I don’t just own the small shack, but also the surrounding park. And that’s a lot of land. The stand just doesn’t pay for itself.”

“Huh.”

Brandon’s hobby is actually arts and crafts, and although he took Philosophy in college (why yes, I gave all my Sims college degrees), he still has a soft spot for painting and the performing arts. After sleeping in, he spends his noon and afternoon happily painting before it’s time to head off to work again. Surprisingly, bartending in the city is much more stressful and draining than owning his own bar, Brandon thinks.

Thankfully, he has found a (measly paying) job as a bar tender in a bar in SimCity, but the working hours and the commute to and from the City mean that he has little time left during the day.

He invites his current flame, Andrea Hogan, over for some afternoon fun.

Downtown, Brandon Lillard gives up his little bar. It’s one of the biggest lots in town and considering what he earns and what he would have to pay, it just doesn’t make sense to keep it. It’s a shitty situation, but one a lot of business owners in SimCity and the surrounding suburbs currently find themselves in.
