Ripp finally realises what his bad grade means….

Life’s hard, but to be fair, not everyone has to go to college. And there’s a lack of female teenagers who are single and close to your age in Strangetown, so…
“I bet even Tank will get his first kiss before me.”

Days of not doing his homework have finally caught up on Ripp and he comes home with a D-. He’s three days away from growing up and it is Friday, so he probably won’t be accepted into college. He doesn’t seem to mind, though…
She comes back right after the Grunts left for school/work.
While Bella isn’t sure about whether she feels the same way Buzz feels, but she is thankful to have a place to stay and someone who loves her. She spent the last few months after waking up in the desert without memories sleeping at the Strangetown lab ior the country club she occasionally worked for as a caddy. After she met Buzz, he let her sleep in one of the barracks, but she has essentially been homeless the whole time. She adopted the name “Bella” after seeing a “Missing” poster of the Pleasantview socialite, but apart from dress and hair, she doesn’t think she looks that similar to her. She often wonders about where she came from, but so far, the guys at the lab she confided in, haven’t found anything out- she’s essentially a Jane Doe.
Oh, come on Ripp. A C+ isn’t that bad.
Buzz tries to strike a conversation with Ripp, but his son is having none of it.
Sometimes, Buzz wonders what he did wrong in the education of his two younger children.
Dinner time minus one.
The boys come back from school and Tank leaves for college.
Buzz says goodbye to Bella and they become best friends. Afterwards, he gets himself a drink from the fridge before heading to bed.
Ripp is still up after everyone has long fallen asleep. His brother and both of his friends, Ophelia and Johnny, will leave for college soon. And while he still has some days left before he’ll join that, but he should tackle that pile of undone homework before his grades slip and he is denied access.
Ah. Thought for a second that maybe their disdain for his father’s new relationship would bring them closer together but nevermind. Back to fighting.
