sim-boo said: Cant zombies die just like normal sims? I had one that starved to death

Might be. As I said I don’t play zombies very much/ not long enough to see them die, even under my horrible care. Thanks for clarifying that!

fuzzyspork said: I really need to try a BACC one of these days!

I’ve started so many over the years… supernatural ones, castaway ones, BACCs set up in the high north or the desert, BACCs set in the desert AND featuring aliens (Wasteland)… I’ve never gotten very far (short attention span), but I’ve always throughout enjoyed them.

katatty-main said: i dunno about vampires being out of the question, the desert gets pretty dark at night!! plus olive makes a fantastic vampire, the whole black widow thing…

I’m from western Europe, so I’ve never even seen a desert. Uh, yes, Olive would be a great vampire, I mean, she’s already got the whole aesthetic… Slowly but surely, Strangetown turns into a wild card. Maybe make it a supernatural sanctuary, @sajlica?

sajlica said: Yeah, Strangetown is like a wildcard 😀 Vampires would only be off because of too much sun :)) and Veronaville can fit all things nature – plantsims, warewolfs, bigfoot, even vampires as some kind of Twilight story…

(I could totally see Hermia as a sparkling vampire. I mean with all the ~somewhat~ sparkly facepaint/ makeup she’s wearing. Also, the Capps appear to be the more aristocratic members of Veronaville.)

hollywood3015 said: I named both my pits the exact same thing ❤

That’s funny! I think it’s just one of those naming patterns that works quite well for a pair. Hope they don’t fight as much as their mythological counterparts ;D (I’m sure they aren’t).

sajlica said: yeah, also I could totaly see Beakers creating bunch of zombies in their lab… 😀

Yeah, that could definitely happen! XD Or they’d create robots… for world domination purposes (just in case the whole necromancing thing doesn’t work out- or works too well…) To be honest, you could put a lot of SimCreatures in Strangetown and no one would bat an eye. Robots? Heck yeah! Werewolves, Witches? Why not! Plantsims? Sure, as long as there’s enough water! Bigfoot? He’ll probably sweat a lot but I doubt he would look very out of place there (Beaker test subject?). Vampires? Maaaaybe not.

sajlica said: you’re welcome! Actually that is very much aligned with my idea and I agree about plantsims…Maybe put bigfoot there, he already has all that fur 😀 but I really like your idea with him in DV…and not sure about zombies though 😀

Yeah, in theory, Bigfoot would be a much better fit for Riverblossom.

Well, I guess that’s the issue with the zombies. They just don’t have a proper place in the main hoods. I guess you could place them in Pleasantview (resurrecting Michael Bachelor went horribly wrong?) or maybe Strangetown- I feel like they would actually fit there Now that I’m writing this, Strangetown. It is the town Death’s mistress lives in. It fits pretty well. But then you don’t really have one life stage per town but 7-supernatural-towns+(presumably)-Belladonna Cove…

Sorry for the delay, guys, I got addicted to Animal Crossing again, and then I got a cold thanks to my cousins’ grandmother, who insisted on doing all the kitchen work while sick. Anyway…

Decorating woes

Seriously, for having such a limited “inventory” in contrast to Sims, I’m soo much better at decorating in Happy Home Designer. Don’t know why. Maybe IT IS because of the limited items…

The train set

eulaliasims said: I never noticed how much detail the train set has! The houses on it are really cute. 😮

It is! I’ve always had a soft spot for it (if only it wouldn’t take up so much damn space…)

littleblondesim said: I adore this map, too! I also once had a thought of recreating it. I’d love to see a take on it. 🙂

*sigh* If only I was good at creating terrains in SimCity 4…

katatty-main said: i never thought about recreating this map! it’s super cute.

It’s adorable, isn’t it. The amount of detail in this…

simspressionism said: You’d think we are able to learn from our own history .. :/

Humans are inherently stupid creatures (the writer of this post included). That’s just a fact. We decide on a basis of “what’s best for me” (screw all the others), and if there’s someone who tells them that all the bad things happening to them (no job, no money- people in need actually get money from our state, but many feel that’s that not enough- and maybe, it really is-, no perspective) is because the state would much rather help The Others, then, unfortunately, people will vote for them. Couple that with racist sentiments and a sense of foreign infiltration and you got a toxic cocktail. It’s suddenly become fashionable again to be racist. Just like antisemitism became fashionable again in the late 1800s- early 1900s.

It’s probably gonna be fine, the party will destroy itself (has already happened in at least one state parliament), in fact, it has already started- one member of the party flat out refuses to work with the others…

I guess we’ll see in another four years.

Why my country is f*cked

twofingerswhiskey said: ??

The German general election was today and our very own right-wing extremist/protest party got over 13% (Very recently, they told the public that they would “hunt down” chancellor Merkel (she’s been re-elected. We have the tendency to keep our chancellors for a very long time.) and the established parties, and chanted “Germany back to the Germans”.

Also, the preach water but drink wine (they are against homosexuals or at least giving homosexuals certain rights (they are very focused on the nuclear family, going as far as demonising single parents), immigrants, and refugees, but one of their chairwomen is a lesbian in a relationship with an Asian woman, who has adopted a child and has recently come under fire for illegally hiring a refugee woman as a cleaning lady… yeah.).

I mean, that would be bad enough if it happened in every other country, but f*cking Germany?! You’d think people would read a history book, but nooo…

And don’t even get me started on the fact that we now have 6 parties in our parliament, which unfortunately also means that we’ll have a three-party government and therefore, an unstable government. We specifically have a law that tries to prevent this (”5% barrier”) because back in the old days, we had a myriad of parties and no working government, which kind of led to Hitler.

On the positive side, 87% of all voters didn’t vote for the second coming of Hitler. (Yeah, I have a very strong opinion on that. Sorry.)

sim-boo said: Not german but i hope things turn out well 🙂

Eh, our very own extremely right-wing party (and we’re no longer talking ‘just’ about them proposing to shoot refugees and refugee children trying to enter the country, nope, we’re now at “We should be proud of our WWII achievements/ Hitler wasn’t thaaat bad, guys”. Seriously. But okay, we’re a democracy, and as long as they don’t cross the legal line, they are free to say that…) is expected to get more than 10%. But no one’s going to actually form a coalition with them, so we’re good (the rest depends on your personal preference, but we won’t suddenly be without healthcare or sth like that. I guess that’s the positive thing when all your parties are extremely similar to each other?) Thank you!

didilysims said: It’s the same with adoption, isn’t it? No confirmation so if you misclick, whoops!

I’m pretty sure they eventually added an “Are you sure?” pop up. At least I have it in my game. But then again, I have several adoption hacks, so I’m not too sure about that.

jaydesims said: Ah I’ve missed them too! ❤️

They are still one of my most favourite Sims (and my favourite BACC idea- yes, they are actually a BACC, how’s that?) and they- well, their templates are still safely tucked away on my external harddrive… one day.

Good morning, Sandy!

didilysims said: She doesn’t look like she’s ready for this level of responsibility yet!

XD. She’d probably much rather have the raise without the added responsibility (let’s just pretend she was promoted to Senior Masseuse or sth…)

Vacation time!

greenfooddog said: Exciting!

didilysims said: Have a blast! (Though you’re probably back now :P)

Thanks! It was lovely. Been there before, but took my bf along this time. he loved it, too. Got a tad too “comfy” with airport security, but other than that, it was lovely. Probably shouldn’t attempt to enter the United States, ever. XD

Polly.

eulaliasims said: As she has always planned to do! I, for one, welcome our new avian overlord.

Hail Polly, conqueror of the Sim World.

didilysims said: That face. She’s just asking us to try to stop her.

The parrots in this game are clearly up to something…

Joe f*cking up, again.

holleyberry said: Doh! Sandy?!

Hey, she’s all about free love! If Joe accepted…

German punctuality

didilysims said: Wow, for international flights here it’s recommended to arrive 3 hours early–minimum. I miss Europe! 😦

Well, due to ~Europe~ and the fact that GB is still part of Europe (sorry, Brexit fans), it is a lot less rigid here. Even with the heightened security (they really did step up their game since last year), turning up 80 minutes early was more than enough.

Baby Plantsims!

holleyberry said: Oops!

didilysims said: Those darn spores are tricky!

They really are. (No, really. While I did that one on purpose, one misclick and you suddenly have a new household member. Not sure if EA thought that through… Then again, not many Simmers play Plantsims).

Kaylynn, the mean room mate.

didilysims said: Oh this is going to be good.

What could possibly go wrong?

Kaylynn… lurking…

didilysims said: Whatcha doing Kaylynn?

Dunno, stuff? Do you really want to know what she’s doing there?
