The sims in ts2 don’t have traits, aspirations and neither do they have an emotions system but they still feel like the most complete ones in the franchise. Heck, I’ve been playing with a sim that just rolled a wish to cook and now she is obsessed with it. She dreams of being a oceanographer even tho I didn’t plan her to be so. That’s the fucking fun in that game. It’s not like you create a sim, it’s like you’re discovering one and guiding them through their life. They feel attracted to other sims, they hate other sims, they have wishes and fears and most important they have emotions. Yeah, they do. It’s not up on your face like ts4, it’s subtle but powerful enough to make a difference in the gameplay. Goddamnit I love this fucking game.
here’s a bunch of deco objects extracted from in game. includes things like dishes & cookingware, kids toys, bathroom & cleaning supplies AND all of the service/career vehicles.
some things are even interactable and have slots, but most of it is only deco.
To avoid falling into the rut of writing/playing/”reading” all of my Sims in similar ways based on their Aspirations, I brainstormed some different archetypes that could fall under the broader TS2 Aspirations. There could even be sub-types within these archetypes but I wanted to keep it flexible. Feel free to add your own! (Warning: Incredibly long post.)
This is great, I’d also like to reblog/repost Dinuriel’s wonderful psychology version of Aspirations, as it does make for a great way of adapting the aspirations.
Have you ever noticed that in Belladonna Cove at winter the all decorations are covered with snow, except ponds? For me, it’s a monstrous injustice! So I have added the missing resources for enabling the seasons, and now the maxis pond isn’t plastic hot lake, huh, and it’s covering by ice in winter.
Furthermore! There is a problem with creating a new neighborhood, when the map is covered with ponds, that the game chooses as random trees. It looks like a mushroom on the slopes, look:
So, for solving this trouble I have recategorized ponds from flora to misc. Now the game will not choose ponds as trees for placement.
Can be placed on roads, lots, and under water. Compressed.
I remember several different default replacements for pond textures. Therefore, I prepared several archives of my default.

Standard version – just an addition file with SSN-enabling for Maxis pond + recategorizing.
As it appears that I’m not the only one who need this… I started the project !
Well, for now, I only added the stoves, because it’s several hours spent on this today. But slowly this will grow ! Don’t hesitate to already submit downloads for the objects added to the database (only stoves today, remember ?). It’s not a lot but at least I’m happy with how it looks so far and what I’ve done in less than a day.
Also : If you know how to use WordPress AND know html enough to edit posts without the buggy visual editing mod AND have time AND the want to help… I’d be happy to have a few sidekicks on this, so you can PM me anytime !

This blog did not and will not send requests for bitcoin donations.
There seems to be a virus or some sort of malware going around causing blogs to “send out” chat messages to blogs that they follow asking for help with the purchase of certain items through donations of seemingly small amounts using bitcoin and adds a link to the message.
The message goes as following (at least the first message I got went like this): “Hi there buddy. I need help, I’m trying to buy a laptop and I can’t afford it. I’m about 0.36$ short, and I’d really appreciate if you could help me and transfer some money to me via bitcoin using this *link*.”
The small details in the message seems to have a few variations with the greeting, amount and purchased item showing up in different variations from formal to friendly, from 0.016 to 2$ and from a phone case to a laptop among others.
The blogs that are affected send out the messages to blogs that they follow for a long time mostly, so you are most likely to receive the message from a long time, active follower whose name you might recognize or a mutual etc. The blogs that are affected are not spam bots but actual active followers who follow the recipient for months or years and most likely the blogger who “sent” the message is unaware of the message being sent.
DO NOT OPEN THE LINK.
Opening up the link will cause the virus to spread even more and infect your computer/mobile with any sort of malware.
If you have received a message of that sort from this blog please know that it was not sent by me or within my control and ignore/delete the message without clicking the link.

Puppies and kittens with patterns you say? Indeed! It turns out that coat patterns can be enabled for the tiny ages, so I jumped right on it and threw together a new download to share with all of you. And let me tell you, they are so cute! I absolutely adored having kittens and puppies run around with markings on them, and it even had the added bonus of making each one more easily distinguishable from their siblings. As with most all pet mods I’ve had experience with, this will only affect pets that haven’t yet been born in game. No magically appearing markings, sorry guys. Even so, just imagine the possibilities!
