It’s Wednesday morning at the Goodies’ house and Faith and Herb took their nephews and nieces out of school for today to get to know them better (Gloria and Herb had just reconneted after a long time abroad before she died). Faith isn’t too fond of Gavin’s topics of conversation when Sarah goes into labour…

Of to the next huge, chaotic family: The Ottomases (Ottomi? Is there a rule for how to pronounce their plural family name?)

Peter and Samantha Ottomas are still very much in love despite the fact that they’ve been married for more than 15 years, Dora is a devoted grandmother and very keen on helping with the kids (she always wanted to have many, many children- or grandchildren). Sharla is somewhat overlooked by her family, but very open to other children her age and David is working hard towards college (which is more something he agreed with his father with than something he really wants to do) and is after Dora the biggest helping hand in the household…

However, as long as Gavin doesn’t find one, they have to make money otherwise. The siblings decide that it would be a good start to sell the old plaything in the garden, as this is rarely used. Gavin sets up a little yard sale and they manage to sell it for enough to pay the last few bills.

Over at 9 Rattlesnake Drive, the children of the recently deceased Gloria Newson (née Goodie- she was Herberts younger sister) try to make it on their own. For now, the Goodies are looking after them as often as they can, otherwise a neighbor is send to look after them. today, it’s Jodie Larsons turn, and she doesn’t seem to happy about it. What she’s happy about though, is that the siblings seem to be able to take care of themselves. She really doesn’t look forward to change any diapers in the near future…

Ginger is a wonderful, caring older sister and Gavin does his best to find a job to provide his little sisters and brothers…

The adults get to know their neighbors and Isaiah brings home Gabriella Newson and when Tina Traveller walks by later, he jumps at the opportunity to meet some more new faces.

In the evening the family celebrates their move with some maccaroni and cheese and when Isaiah is asleep, Nathan and Mary celebrate alone…
