The Picasos, a newly-wed military couple, are enjoying their first day in their new home. While Matthew is content with his work, Jessica would actually prefer if he would drop out of the military together with her and start a more safe job, especially because she wants to have a bazillion of kids.

Over at 9 Rattlesnake Drive, the children of the recently deceased Gloria Newson (née Goodie- she was Herberts younger sister) try to make it on their own. For now, the Goodies are looking after them as often as they can, otherwise a neighbor is send to look after them. today, it’s Jodie Larsons turn, and she doesn’t seem to happy about it. What she’s happy about though, is that the siblings seem to be able to take care of themselves. She really doesn’t look forward to change any diapers in the near future…
Ginger is a wonderful, caring older sister and Gavin does his best to find a job to provide his little sisters and brothers…
The bills won’t get paid with air, though. Jason eventually finds a very shady, most definitly criminal job while Jodie tries the easy route and works as a caddy at the local golf course. But- Jodie knows about that certain high society lady that seems to have her eyes on her little brother and vice versa and soon a new business plan is born…
The Ottomas are very smitten with their new neighbors and Jason is looking for a new job- without much luck, as it seems.
The Lasons moved to Viper Canyon pretty recently, so first things first Jason looks for a job while Jodie looks for an opportunity to get enough money to start a business. Jason promptly gets fired, too.
The adults get to know their neighbors and Isaiah brings home Gabriella Newson and when Tina Traveller walks by later, he jumps at the opportunity to meet some more new faces.
In the evening the family celebrates their move with some maccaroni and cheese and when Isaiah is asleep, Nathan and Mary celebrate alone…
