And sloppy ones at that (because I’m on my potato-laptop and that’s only marginally better than my smartphone. But has spellcheck.)

Says the simmer who’s neighbourhood pictures make me feel green with envy (on a serious note, good to know that even you hate it!).

katatty-main said: oooh, this looks great! really good use of the maxis deco!

Wait til you see the other side of the lake… thanks for your compliment. I find it very hard to decorate full neigbourhoods, so it’s good to hear that people like it.

  Glad you like it!

katatty-main said: i’ve had this problem too and had to change the names in SimPE some downloaders of europa have also had this issue – i think it’s caused by different language versions? like if you made it in a german-language game english games will attempt to “translate”, but not sure

It appears that when you don’t “confirm” a name in SimPE (e.g. change it), the game will think they have no name and assign a random name to it in the game language (my SimPE does something like this, too. I guess it’s confused because my game language is set to American English, while my system language is German). Already thought “confirming” the names in SimPE will solve it. I’ll try it out tomorrow and see if it’ll work.

Thank you for your feedback, holleyberry and katatty-main! I decided to add La Fiesta Tech to Strangetown. Unfortunately, I’m not a big fan of the “Turn-college-premades-into-dormies” method (I like their ‘stories’ way too much and would hate to break their households up). But I decided to add them to my rotation one after another. I will probably start with the fraternity and sorority and add other households as I feel like it (so I won’t have 10 new families after the first batch of Strangetown sims finish college). The bin sims will make excellent roommates for my premades.

(To my text post about Olive and General Buzz Grunt).

katatty-main said: I doubt chemistry was considered when making them, since it wasn’t added until nightlife, but her want to invite him over (when they’re enemies!) is definitely suspicious…

Yeah, but before there was chemistry, they were things like Aspirations, Interests, Zodiacs that determined how two Sims get along. They were later implemented into the chemistry system. I don’t think that was coincidental.

BTW, almost every male in my game has two bolts with her, even if their turn-ons don’t match. (For example, Pascal Curious is into athletic and stink which sounds more like Kristen Loste than Olive.)

strangetomato said: I’ve definitely considered that theory. At least that she plans to kill him. She often has a want to invite him over, and he will always show up, despite a bad relationship score.

Yeah, it is somewhat weird. I guess Maxis intended us to kill the General (I mean, he isn’t very sympathetic with his xenophobic sentiments against aliens. And Ripp is quite possible to Strangetown what Lilith is to Pleasantview). But why do they hate each other? Did he find out that Olive killed Lyla? Did Olive kill Lyla because she was his ex-wife? Is he angry at Olive for taking in Lyla after the divorce?
