Ava moves in with Lemuel (Iris took over the former workshop)and she and Lemuel head over to the church first thing in the morning to get hitched. Both keep their surnames (Ava’s a former movie star AND a renowned scientist, after all!).
Immedieatly after the ceremony, Ava starts giving a sermon. The reporter seems to like it!
A few days after this botched mother-son meeting it’s Ben’s birthday and both his father and (unofficial) god mother showed up!
Good to see he seems to grow into his gigantic nose and, awww, look at how he looks at his father!
Suddenly, Ben starts to cry and a bit taken back, Claire takes a few steps backwards, while Iris bends down to calm the sobbing child.
Ben: *reaching out to Iris* “Mommy! Mommy!”
Shocked, Iris looks up to Claire, whose empty expression says all.

Claire: “Hey there, little one! How are you doing?”
Lemuel: “He’s not a dog, you can touch him.”
Claire: *awkwardly pats Ben* “How’s my big boy? Gosh, you’re growing up so fast….”
