You’re welcome! *blushes*

moocha-muses said: Rundown castle turned nightclub? How did I never know how much I wanted that?

If you come to think about it, it’s only a natural progression… XD

Right, huh? I just pushed those sliders ALL the way!

Athene the dog

davidmont said: Cute

Right?

didilysims said: How dare you spell a name in your own language. 😛 I’ve seen it spelled that way in at least 2 English-written Greek mythology books.

Ha! Yeah, it’s not that clear. I think it depends on how it’s translated from Greek. But “Athena” tends to be more common in English, while “Athene” is more popular in German. Probably due to linguistical differences (”Athene” just works better with how German words flow…)

Hera dies

didilysims said: Aw. 😦

I knew it would happen and still missed it!!!

Tutoring Sims in college

taylors-simblr said: I think it’s an option as soon as your sim is in the year above another sim. I haven’t played uni in years though so dont take my word for it

Ah, good to know! I usually only play with playables, so I never notived this (or had enough homework lying around…)

Pet ghosts

didilysims said: Hee hee, she’s kind of cute in that picture! But every other time, yes, pet ghosts are terrifying.

They are nightmare fuel… (Good to know I’m not the only one who gets weirded out by them!)

Andrea’s chance cards, part XY (seriously, she had quite a lot already!)

I’m a doofus, part 2- Jan edition

javapixels said: I hate when I do that! At least she lived! 😀

It usually never happens to me! I’m just very overworked lately! XD (Thank god she lived! That would have been the worst!)

Sims meme

Thank you for tagging me, @taylors-simblr !

When did you start playing Sims?

2007-ish? I was babysitting my neighbours’ handicapped son with his older sister, my best friend, (I was asked because my mom works in special ed… I have no idea why they thought that would qualify me, an eleven-year-old…) and she showed me that game she’s been playing: The Sims 2. I was hooked, borrowed the base game and bought Nightlife so I could play it on our ancient family PC. Played that on that one until Sims 3 came out and I wished for a laptop for Christmas so I could play Sims 3. Played it for like 2 months and then went back to Sims 2.

Have you been playing consistently or do you have breaks inbetween?

More or less consistently. There were some breaks whenever my laptops died, but I always came back. I don’t think there’s ever been a break that was longer than 2-3 months.

Do your family & friends know that you play The Sims?

Some do. My immediate family knows, of course. I don’t run around advocating that I play the Sims, but when I click with someone (or am close friends with them)… sure, it does come up.

Do you spend more time in build or live mode? Why?

Live mode, for sure. I’m slowly getting better at building and decorating, but for a long time, I just couldn’t stand it.

Do you play with supernatural creatures (like Vampires, Werewolves etc.)? Why not?

Well, there’s a witch, two plantsims and an alien in Middleground, so you tell me.

No, but really, I love playing the supernaturals. I think they add interest to the game. I’m especially fond of the vampires in this game (I like the concept of vampires in general- the more traditional ones, at least), mostly because they were the first supernaturals I’ve been introduced to. Although their immortality might pose a problem in multigenerational gameplay…)

Do you have one specific family you play with all the time (like a legacy of some sort) or do you rotate between a couple of households?

I got into rotational play pretty early on. I was enthralled of all the stories about huge cities full of Sims (I also got into the community pretty early- the German one, that is- although I’ve always been more of a lurker). I’ve tried legacies at times, but could never stick to it (what do I do with the spares?).

Do you like to create your own neighborhoods or do you play with the existing families? Tell us about your progress 🙂

I like not having to build a neighbourhood, but sometimes I do. Most of the time, though, I take an existing neighbourhood and just modify it to fit my needs.

I almost always use existing Sims. Whether that means playing in premade neighbourhoods like Veronaville, Strangetown or even neighbourhoods like the amazing Viper Canyon by meetmetotheriver, or just use premade Sims, like didilysims extracted College Sims, the Pleasantview townies (like in Middleground, duh), or even downloaded Sims like hambergersims that have a connection to the premade Sims. I’m just a big fan of Eaxis genetics, it seems.

Do you create custom content? If so, what keeps you motivated? (If not, would you like to? What stops you from learning it? For players that don’t use mods, why do you stay away from CC?)

Not really. I sometimes upload a Sim or a house (very sporadically). I’m able to delete sandals from a Maxis mesh, but that’s about it. I think it would be a pretty cool skill to have, but I don’t really have the time to learn it. I’d much rather play the game.

If there was one piece of CC or (if you play without mods) one piece you wish the developers implemented, what would it be?

Only one piece, huh? Hm… maybe a subhood for supernaturals (that counts like one piece, right?). Someplace where they can do things connected to their supernatural state?

What other expansion and/or accessoires pack do you wish the developers would have come out with?

Uff… generally speaking, I would love if there was more generational stuff. It would be nice to have more activities for the different ages. I’ve read this on a couple other Sims memes and I can only agree with it.

Lastly, tag 5 of your favorite simblrs!

And as always I’m late to the party. I know quite a few of you already did this… I’ll just tag a few of those that show up in my recent activities. So, @simspressionism@lilleputtu@mooseabides@littleblondesim and @hexagonal-bipyramid , tell us about your playstyle (if you haven’t already and feel like it)!

Polly, the parrot

moocha-muses said: I think parrots can actually live to be nearly 100 years old.

Yeah, but Joe isn’t a big fan on Polly (she shows him clearly that she doesn’t like him). That and parrots in the Sims are very prone to starving. I’m amazed I was able to keep her alive that long…

didilysims said: Brittany’s so great. 😀

She is AMAZING. She is very sassy in-game and takes no bullshit from anyone.

Matthew’s nose

didilysims said: Definitely the weirdest premade nose. It’s like it got stuck on a clothesline.

It wouldn’t look so bad if the lower half of his nostrils were actually attached to his nose… he could be so handsome!

House facelift

didilysims said: Oh sure the house gets a facelift but the deadly diving board stays as it is. Your priorities are questionable, aonda! 😀

Hey, I didn’t build that! And where am I supposed to put the garden furniture if I expand the pool by one tile?! XD

(makes mental note to switch the pool ladder and diving board to put an end on this MADNESS!)
