Other sub-hoods are either pre-decorated Maxis or custom terrains. If it’s a blank template I just stare equally blankly at the screen. 😛

I don’t even have the patience to copy neighbourhood deco placement from pictures (I especially hate placing individual trees). Decorating is just sooo hard (especially when you feel like you have to. All the little touch-ups I’ve done in Middleground only got done because I didn’t feel like I had to…)

Yeah, but he’s actually more Christy than Remington. The hair colour (Christy has recessive red genes), the nose, the chin… the eye shape might be Remington’s (then again, I’m terrible at analysing genes).

You know what? For a long time, I didn’t really notice how non-sensical those chance cards are, because most of the time I was just like “… It’s America, America is weird. They probably do it like that!”

Maybe Timmy’s hospital doesn’t have a custodian (which sounds like a pretty major health violation, but who knows. It’s the Sims.

Two quick didilysims replies

I did have almost the whole week off! Half of my college classes were cancelled due to National Work Day (it’s a bank holiday over here) and I have the tendency to get a bit… too immersed into stuff I do. The whole thing took me roughly one week to finish. Spent two whole days just creating houses. I can get a bit obsessed with things. (I also write my term papers (the short ones, 8-12 pages) in like… one day. It’s nuts.)

It appears that when you don’t “confirm” a name in SimPE (e.g. change it), the game will think they have no name and assign a random name to it in the game language (my SimPE does something like this, too. I guess it’s confused because my game language is set to American English, while my system language is German). Already thought “confirming” the names in SimPE will solve it. I’ll try it out tomorrow and see if it’ll work.

I don’t think so. Regardless, even without it, dormies have never spawned in my neighbourhoods (but I’ll try it, maybe the no dormies whatsoever was actually a bug XD).

Family caretakers unite! No, but seriously, I feel so bad for feeling mad/sad/annoyed at times, but then again, it IS a pretty big deal (and was a huge life change) and my feelings are valid, too, I guess. I just hope she’ll be able to walk again (looking good so far- but baby steps. Literally.). For her own sanity. Being trapped in a house all day must be maddening.
