WHAT THE FUCK, EA?

Let’s just ignore the fact that there’s only half a football field and instead there’s a big patch of grass just sitting there at the bottom left corner- whatever the heck that’s supposed to be. And please, ignore the beautiful outdoor pool who’s lacking any equipment that would turn it into something actually useful on a lot that’s supposed to be “the” sports centre in Desiderata Valley. And just ignore that weird, definitely not weatherproof display of trophies or half of a basketball field in the bottom right corner.

No, please just focus on that big blue blob in the middle of the lot that holds a ridiculous amount of toilets and way too many seating accommodations and please tell me what it is supposed to be? A stand to be able to follow every ridiculous, crippled game that is ever going to be held on that lot? Just flip your bench around whenever you want to switch from soccers to basketball? Is it a diner, conveniently placed on top of the washrooms- just ignore the horrible smell of a bunch of athletes changing beneath you? The world may never know.

(Seriously- what is this thing on the lower left? )

Are you talking about @gonewodwo because I loved her desiderata valley. It’s the only time I’ve ever been interested in any of the later ep sims and I’m still hoping she’ll come back to us

YEEEEES! That’s the one I was thinking about. I mean, the neighborhoods shipped with the later EPs weren’t bad, per se… It’s just- I don’t know. Desiderata is both home to Natasha Una, “the woman who made Grilled Cheese great again” and the infamous “will this man get fat and loose his wife, lol” storyline. @gonewodwo made Desiderata seem fun, @didilysims Desiderata is colorful, cute and fun to read, I really love what @holleyberry did with Shannon Wirth in her Dossanina story and there are a plethora of great lot makeovers by people like @meetmetotheriver . But yesterday night, I opened the game, thinking about having a little bit of fun by making a few Sims and houses over and maybe play a bit and halfway through the Joque house I quit, because it felt like a chore and I had no idea what to do with the Sims. Kind of sad.

I thought I’d have some quick fun and play the Desiderata Valley Sims for a change… remembered why so few people play it. It just seems like EAxis gave up on this one. I mean, earlier neighbourhoods feature… interesting architectural choices, but the characters in Desiderata Valley are just so… bland.

Does anyone still remember that Apocalyptical Desiderata? Wondered/ Forgot what happened to it.
