Christy stays for lunch, and the three spend some time chatting politely.
Christy: “…so, how do you guys like it here?”
Remington: “It’s beautiful! The coastline is just marvellous! Back when we lived in the city, I swear to The Plumbbob I never saw as much nature in 5 years as I did since we moved in, can you believe it?”
Christy: “You two lived together? Um… this might be an awkward question, but, are you, like, a couple?”
Komei: “No. Just one of us is gay, the other one’s just overly flamboyant.” *side eyes Remington*
Aw, come on Komei, she’s just trying to be nice!
Remington meets one of the girls living “downtown”, Christy. After a rocky start, they get along rather well.
In the evening, Sandy heads off to the local bar “The Old Scotsman”, for a drink. But apparently it’s closed… (note to me: turn the electronic ticket-machine around *sigh*).
So she heads off to the local park, where she meets some of the other inhabitants of Middleground. And the owner of the bar… whom she finds quite pleasing…
