And oh boy, are there many…

Nocturnal college professors

audreysims14 said: I’ve also found my professors are either quite good at getting back in a timely manner, or even within the hour, or they take days. There is no in between

Yeah, college professors are a weird species… like, I am the college student. I’m supposed to be up until the wee hours of the morning. You are a functioning adult being, why do you email me at 3 in the morning?

Orlando being a little brat

didilysims said: He’s on the prowl for newspapers, of course!

The orphanage must have terrible security, though!

Bye bye, dogs!

didilysims said: Oh no!

I was so shocked when that happened. Thankfully, pet adoption requirements are pretty lax…

When Brandon met Kaylynn

moocha-muses said: You need to push harder for the Joe/Komei reconciliation, Brandon! How else are you going to get him out of your place?

But he also likes to keep out of other people’s businesses. And if it gets unbearable, no one would judge him if he’d throw Brandon out.

Brandon and Sandy contemplating marriage

littleblondesim said: elopement?

Not really an option in this small town. The neighbours are really noisy, I heard. XD

holleyberry said: I don’t think they will roll an engagement want with the married there. Have you tried having them go on a date?

holleyberry said: Oh, nevermind 😛

Yeah, I don’t really feel like “unlocking” their wedding wants at this point. Who knows if they’ll ever roll one again, and at this point, them wanting to marry is basically “canon”.

Joe’s and Kaylyn’s… weird date

stellaterrano said: Don’t you hate it when you want a ring but your man just wants to buy a car and a stereo 😂

Typical Fortune-Family dating incompatibility… or really Fortune-any other Sims (why are they so obsessed with buying things on dates?)

Rude sleepover guests

eulaliasims said: I don’t know of one that does it autonomously, though I sure would like one too. Maybe you can use Dolphin’s Control This Sim hack to do it manually?

Hm, never tried that one out. Not sure if the effort is worth the result, though. *sigh* A mod like this would be awesome!

holleyberry said: You deserve it Joe.

If only Joe cared about it. No, that is my internal dialogue everytime I see him. I like him, I really do, but if he could stop barging into stranger’s houses, that would be great.

Apologizing

holleyberry said: I hate people who say sorry but don’t say what they are sorry for. That’s important, imo. Even if they both know what he’s sorry for him actually saying it holds more weight.

Baby steps… Joe’s learning. (Also, psssht! That might be a ‘plot point’ in the future…)

didilysims said: I’ve heard that the toddler needs to be able to walk first to escape, but I see it so rarely I can’t say one way or another. I wonder if it’s related to personality–maybe active points?

I don’t know. It’s just so confusing. Andy and Benny definitely hadn’t learned how to walk when they ‘first escaped’. And both of them have six active points- so only slightly above average-…

didilysims said: Yep, Harrises is correct. Just like keeping up with the Joneses. English is weird. 😀

Then again, the German language has compound nouns like “Oberdonaudampfschifffahrtsgesellschaftskapitänswitwengesellschaft” (a true classic). I guess every language has its quirks.

holleyberry said: You done fucked up Joe.

Joe has early on presented himself as someone who has… issues. Fucking things up is what he does. Maybe one day he’ll stop? Or he’ll eventually fuck up really bad (if breaking up with your pregnant girlfriend, cheating on your fiance and trying to force your ex-girlfriend into getting custody of your son- whom he has never seen, by the way- isn’t “fuck up really bad”).

holleyberry said: Poor Komei.

It was so heart-breaking. He wouldn’t stop crying for quite some time, I almost regretted breaking them up. But considering Joe just kept flirting with Sandy when left unsupervised (it happened again when I played one of the other residents and he bought some groceries. Went to the grocery- Joe and Sandy flirting. At least Komei didn’t have to witness it this time. You know what’s what annoyed me the most? I put them in “ACR friendzone mode” ages ago.)

didilysims said: “Toddler-Adult-Elder-Dead” ha ha ha!

It’s true, though. I always hated that they had such shortened life spans. Even with all the benefits added, they still feel… incomplete.

audreysims14 said: The grilled cheese aspiration is cute and a fun quirk, but even as a secondary it really does take over their lives!

I wished other secondary aspirations would interfere with a Sims primary aspiration as much as the Grilled Cheese secondary. Or maybe it’s just the fact that there are only like five wishes the aspiration rolls.
