Reply and hair solutions

Uhhh! That’s another very good option. So far, I’ve mercilessly deleted hairstyles, even the ones that looked just too similar to each other, compared my list to Keonis’ default replacements (I may actually keep those) and moved hair that doubled with that into my “SortedOut” folder, and FINALLY got rid of almost all redundant V1 hairstyles. And my Hair folder is now down from almost 3 GB to…. *drumroll* 900mb including defaults. (Yes, I was really desperate to get rid of all that unused hair. I only use like the same 25-40 over and over again…). I have three V1 hairstyles left, because I like them that much and just couldn’t find a V2 replacement (one’s the “Sandy” hair, the other two are a Nouk Girl Next Door Alpha Edit and Nouk’s Long Braid- we need more Nouk love, methinks).

The internet died! And then it came back again after I completely reset everything. This is getting ridiculous…

Yes, they are similar in idea. It does sound kind of absurd, but I’ve heard worse (somewhat unrelated, but have you ever had “Jason” screamed at you in a heavy Southern German accent? Now THAT’S the stuff of nightmares (’Tschäisooon’)). It is still used, but very rarely. I believe it might be more popular as a religious name for nuns (the holy Liudger is pretty popular in my region).

To cull or not to cull. That is the question

I’m still torn. I deleted roughly 320 hairstyles from my folder, which brings it down to 240 (yes, I’m THAT determined). But on the other hand, there’s currently a completely NEW folder sitting on my hard drive in which I downloaded only the “essentials”, replaced all my leftover V1 Poppet hairstyles with V2 ones and, in the process, threw keoni-chans default replacements into the mix in order to a) fill in the gaps (missing V2 versions, hairstyles I couldn’t find) and b) to bring down the size of my folder (I’m not sure how I feel about that, as I actually like to use the Maxis hairs at times (for example, to emphasise the makeovers as I did in Strangetown)). Sigh, this is a hard decision.

I spent 2 hours in front of the PC before I screamed “Screw it!” about halfway to the male hair section (about ¼ of the female hair section) and closed the game… so, yeah. I’m close to insanity.

Anyway, I think I’ll spend the evening (well night), combing through my “Old Hair” folder and replacing all the V1 hairstyles with V2 ones. That’s probably a compromise I’d be able to live with.

And of course, it’s a dream date and Ivy is completely smitten with Remington when she leaves. No, she doesn’t stay the night, Remington is old-fashioned like that (and to be honest, prides himself in being the perfect gentleman).

Komei manages to sneak away from the crowd and speaks with Joe about his feelings.

“I like you. A lot. Does that sound ridiculous?”

“Not at all.”

He is a man of few words, but nevertheless, Komei and Joe officially become a couple during that barbecue.

I’m trying to slim down my hair folder. So far I’ve got 5 ½ pages of hair I never use, that has major flaws mapping wise or that I don’t like. And that’s just the female hair! Maybe I should just say “Screw this!”, get rid of all of them and start a new folder?
