Claire is now a City Council Member, which means it might be time to build a little gathering place for the small community (btw, I don’t really play by rules but add things as I think it fits…)

With the help of Abel and Lemuel, Sethunya was quick to build a little townhall for the ever-growing. It’s pretty basic right now, but definitly offers more space for town meetings than Claire’s little hut.

Nope, I don’t know what’s going on in this hood anymore…. I think that sums up my whole experience playing Foxham pretty nicely. SO. MANY. BREAKDOWNS. (And I didn’t even manage to catch half of it on picture.)

Back to your regularly scheduled programm!

didilysims said: Oh, the Globe! Did you see a show there?

Sadly, no. BUT we were there during production of “The Heresy of Love” and saw part of a rehearsal. For the short times we were in there (we got in there, watched a bit, got out and the tourguide told us something about the Globe, then got in again etc.), everyone was fussing about the shoes of an actress because they were too tight, so she failed to get changed in time and later on even almost tripped, if I remember correctly. It was surreal. Oh, and the play seems to be good. It’s well reviewed. Would have loved to see it, it looked interesting.

How long have you been part of the simming community?

I signed up for the German “Simforum” in the summer of 2009. That’s six years already!

Do you dabble in the other Sims games or are you strictly Sims 2?

I’ve tried Sims 3 when I got my first laptop. It looked much better… I also ‘dabbled’ in Sims for facebook, but quickly lost interest. Just not the same.

Who was your favourite sim you’ve ever had in your game? Post a picture (if you’ve got one)!

That would be the mom of the girl in my avatar and no, I don’t have a picture of her anymore.

She was a downtownie (Ivy Butler). She fell in love with a much older man, got twins, was widowed early and became a famed author of detective novels. Poor Caroline (girl in my avatar) had an unsteady relationship with the town’s (Aonda’s Village) Casanova, had herself twins and was generably rather miserable, while her brother married Ginger Newson. They had a son.

Have you ever lived in another country?

New Zealand, 2011. Three months as an international student. Loved it. (But was sooo homesick sometimes. I was 15, okay?)

What is your favourite time of year?

Late spring/ early autumn. Love the weather, the light and the colors around.

When was the last time you went on holiday?

A month ago, two weeks in England (one week in Suffolk, one in Norfolk). Visited Cambridge and London. Here, have some holiday pictures to  make up for me not seeing this for ages!

My brother really want to visit Speedy’s (huge TV series nerd!) They make great sandwiches!

Where do you want to visit more than anywhere else?

I’d like to visit New Zealand again! (Apparently, it’s some sort of dream vacation destination for people in my country. Well, it has a certain charm!) Or America? Texel, an island in the Netherlands were we always spend our spring vacation… beautiful places where I’ve never been to? I’ve started college right after I finished school, so I didn’t have a gap year for travelling like some of my former classmates. I don’t regret it, but I would have loved travelling.

Do you see yourself playing the sims for the foreseeable future?

Yep. Until I lose interest completly, I’ll always come back.

What kind of computer do you play your game on?

A good one. Desktop. Good graphics. “Selfmade”. Specifically for gaming. The worst component is my harddrive. XD

Do you know anyone in real life that sims?

Yep, a friend of mine casually plays Sims 3, and some others played it when we were younger. Would need to ask them if they still. I don’t really talk about it in real-life.

What’s your dream job?

A job at the theatre, behind the scenes. Director, dramatic advisor, assistant director, you name it.

I’m not sure how old this is and if people still do this, so I won’t tag anyone. If you want to do it, feel free to do it. I’m lazy, use toofasttoofar’s questions. I don’t think they’d mind!

Well, I would be hungry, too. They are far away from any form of civilisation… but still, THE CHICKEN? (They are decorative, btw. I would be more concerned if this were the NPC ones)

Funnily enough, I’m not really happy with it. There’s something off.

Claire isn’t feeling all too well lately. Apart from the obligatory meetings with the sponsors, she mostly sleeps, eats and cries a lot. Things are definitly not going her way, and with all the hospitality towards her since her fling with Cronus, life’s hard in the community.

Its a rather warm and sunny afternoon in September when for the first time in weeks, the sound of an engine rears through the little settlement. The supplies are there and apart from clothes, food and construction items there are two new settlers:

The first one is Lemuel Hoover (by olivespecter). While Ava and Dean are the ones responsible for setting up electricity and plumbing, Ava has two left hands, as they had to find out the hard way. And even with Abel’s help, it is next to impossibleto get everything up and running til winter without additional help. Lemuel is a construction worker and kind of jack-of-all-trades, which will also come in handy with expanding the little, poorly built huts soon.

The second one is Iris Lahham (Isis by olivespecter). She is an old friend of Claire from the orphanage and there on a special mission…

“How was your trip?”

“Alright, I guess. Lemuel is okay. I’m just happy to sleep in a real bed again soon.”

“He is inside, want to see him?”

“You sure about this?”

“There’s no way I can take care of him properly while being away from home so often.”

“Let’s get inside.”

Iris will take care of Ben (he will live with her and Lemuel- because let’s face it- while Ava and Nora would be more than happy to help me out, they are either up to their neck in work or pregnant, and the rest is still mad at Claire), and work as a nanny for the Keel family should they need it. She worked as an elementary teacher before and would love to eventually return to it.
