I kid you not, Remington is one of the sweetest Sims I’ve ever played with. I play him with his genetic personality (standard cancer) and he is constantly cleaning the house, cooking and being generally the sweet counterpart to the rather grumpy Komei.

Is he pushing her or pushing her off the swing?
“Get off that! It’s mine!”
Komei really loves that swing…
Christy stays for lunch, and the three spend some time chatting politely.
Christy: “…so, how do you guys like it here?”
Remington: “It’s beautiful! The coastline is just marvellous! Back when we lived in the city, I swear to The Plumbbob I never saw as much nature in 5 years as I did since we moved in, can you believe it?”
Christy: “You two lived together? Um… this might be an awkward question, but, are you, like, a couple?”
Komei: “No. Just one of us is gay, the other one’s just overly flamboyant.” *side eyes Remington*
Aw, come on Komei, she’s just trying to be nice!
Remington meets one of the girls living “downtown”, Christy. After a rocky start, they get along rather well.
They are indeed quite the polar opposites of each other.

Hm, I tried it with 2 of my 4 owned community lots (trying out the other two ones as I type) and so far, it doesn’t help. The same Sims keep showing up, no matter what I do…
(By the way, huge thanks to all of you! Thank you for trying to help me!)
questforsims said: maybe it’s an issue with how many sims are allowed on one lot? I remember way back in the day you had to use a special cheat to get more than two non-family NPCs to show up on a lot, but I swore that got patched out and the number bumped up to 8 or so. Though also, lower level businesses start out with less customers, so maybe that’s it?
Nah, my game’s patched up-to-date, my PC should be more than capable to handle all the sims and all the unowned community lots have plenty of visitors at once. Yes, but for a level 0/1 level, the maximum number is 3. I only ever get 2 at max. And ALWAYS the same two guys?

In that case you probably have a mod that don’t allow playables to be customers. I had one like this. It required the MoneyOrder placed somewhere in the lot to allow playables as customers.
No, they are playables. I have roughly 15 Sims in that neighborhood (including NPCs, 8 are playables). It was fine the first time I played a owned community lot, but ever since, only the two of them have shown up (including home businesses- walk-by’s and unowned community lot visitors are fine, though).
EDIT: Other Sims seem to be incapable of buying stuff there. WTH?!
EDIT 2: And now it seems like even the customers capable of buying won’t buy stuff? What’s going on here?
