Wow, thank you for your quick replies!

I believe you can crack open the file in SimPE and manually change it’s marker? Though it might be best to message meetme about it since she’s the queen of neighborhood corruption. okay so, I did this just as a test but what should theoretically work is, you need to go into SimPE, open the neighborhood.package (inside N00X or whatever) Open the IDNO, and you’ll see two things, one is the parent name, which you’ll want to change to whatever you’re new ID is, and the other is Neighborhood Type, you’re going to want to set it to normal, and since yours was a downtown it should be set as such. Hope that helps 🙂

Thank you both for your help! Things like this always show me what a noob at SimPE I am (I can change genetics and that’s it). I changed the IDNO, but the neighbourhood still doesn’t show up. I guess I messed something up (probably playing it in its incomplete/corrupted state- although I now have to question why it showed up in neighbourhood menu in the first place). I’ll try it again with an unplayed copy and if that doesn’t work… I guess I’ll just play it (let’s be real: I’ll just fool around in it for a while before I get bored again and return to my other hoods) as intended? (A downtown to an empty neighbourhood)

Thanks again! I was surprised at how quick you were. I think that really shows how awesome the Sims 2 community is! ❤
