I put some stuff in the queue. Hope I don’t flood your dash, but I want to someday catch up to where I actually am in Viper Canyon. I’m off to Uni now. (and this doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that I don’t want to prepare my “King Ödipus”-presentation for dramatics)

We need your help!

The Default Database is a growing and active resource for the Sims 2 community! But its current mods need help keeping it up and running. We all know life gets in the way of running communities and this one is no different…

The Database is looking for 1 to 2 new mods!

Requirements: TIME (2 hours or less a week at current submission rates), Photoshop (and knowledge of some basic tools), ability to communicate with the other mods at GoS, and an attention to detail.

Process: Send me (ZeroDark/ZeroGraphic) an application either via Tumblr PM or via Garden of Shadows PM. Include your screen name (Sims community name if different), why you’d like to be involved in the Default Database project, and any questions you have.

FOX’s Sleepy Hollow, featuring Ophelia, Johnny, and…Ripp? In a particularly impressive costume. Maybe Olive helped him with it.

I aged up Johnny and kept Ophelia as a teen to create the proper height difference. I only first decided to use Johnny because that was most natural fit for Ophelia as Abbie, but once I got him in costume I was amazed at how perfect her turned out!

I just had the very first kid ever taken away from her family by social service! In 6 or 7 years it never happened to me (apart from the few times when I deliberatly neglected my children). And that in a very successful, caring household just because the kid spend to much time outside… Grr.

  • I made a Tags page which is going to be the closest to a complete list of hairs retextured;
  • The ask box is up and running;
  • I keep missing new retextures so it’d be really cool if you submitted your finds and creations OR if we had a special tag, like #poppeted or something

Tumbleton Blind Date second edition: Meddling Parents

This summer, Aleisha and Jack’s daughter Leila graduated from college and moved back home. Since then, she’s mostly been blogging freelance, watching Simsflix and keeping horrible hours, and her parents are getting worried. She doesn’t even go on 2am taco runs anymore. When they were her age, they didn’t know where they would end up by sunrise. She should go out, have fun, break some hearts, live a little! Also, they’d really enjoyed having the house to themselves for date nights.

Fortunately, Aleisha’s friend from work and his wife are having a similar problem. The Farmlanders’ youngest, Theo, has recently come back from his sabbatical in Shang Simla, and while Derek and Pam have already given up on him helping with the rent or cutting his hair, they are desperate for him to do something, anything with his life.

The proposed blind date only happens because both Leila and Theo are feeling too apathetic to put up a fight. A few years down the line, they have three kids, accidentally wear matching clothes a lot and are happier than they ever thought they would be.

And here are their kids all grown up! Gemma (left) is the oldest; Louie (center) and Dana (right) are twins (although Dana favors her dad and a hair straightener).

This is so cute!

Woo! I survived the first week of college! It’s still just introduction week, but I’ve finally got my courses assigned. Apart from the Anglistics stuff (or English Studies for the British), which are very methodical, I’ve got one class about the basics of dramas, one about opera in the 18th century, one basic course about the history of theatre and one class about the “Irish Renaisscence” in theatre. This is bound to be interesting!

On an unrelated note: I’m loading up my game in the first time for weeks!
